Problem viewing video from DLNA server

I am trying to stream video from a Mac running TVMobili (common DLNA server). This used to work fine so don't know whether this is to do with iOS 8 or something else as I haven't used this feature for a while.

The issue I get is when I try and play a video I get the screen below (no video or audio) although the playback timer is moving. Any ideas?

disable quicktime plugin in the settings page and try again?
