same problem here.
I have put a .srt file with the same name of the video file (.avi) into the same video folder.
Airplayer recognize the srt file as a video file (!?).
When i launch the video, the subtitles are not recognized, nothing appears

please correct this bug, it is very annoying

currently it should supports this well.
you need to select correctly encoding method according to your srt file.
or convert your srt file to UTF-8 and using the default encoding method.

Have the same problem here... Using Ds211j and iPad. Checked the encoding of the file with the linux command file. The .srt file was listed as "UTF-8 Unicode (with BOM) text, with CRLF line terminators." Before i converted it, it was "ISO-8859 text, with CRLF line terminators" but that was not working either.

As I don't have a synology, only if some one can provide me a test ip, then we can test this feature here.

what sort of connection do you need ?
DNLA can only be accessed through a LAN connection.

when it was detected in the local network, click the detail button view to copy the URL to us, and setup your NAS on a public ip and provide that to us.
send to the mail above, don't post it in the forum
