Iomega storcenter cloud edition unable to connect to outside

Postby olehoang » Sun Apr 08, 2012 4:41 pm

I have a ready NAS Iomega storcenter cloud edition, and I'm trying to connect it from a different location. But having a hard time with this port mapping. The airplayer app work fine on my local wifi, I can access all my music, photo and movies. The description http://192.168.1.106:9000/deviceDescription.xml
if you want to externally access this device you should do this :
1. do the port mapping 192.168.1.106:9000 to (public ip:9000) in your router
2. add the device description URL with the public ip mannaually.

So what do I actually have to do to accesss the Iomega storcenter from another location? Thanks.
