Windows 8 doesn't share Video?

Postby GeorgeWood » Sat Mar 17, 2012 2:15 pm

Hi guys,

My HTPC was due for a reformat so I decided this would be opportunity to try Womdows 8; now when I try to stream video to my iPhone or iPad the video folders are displayed but appear empty.

I belive I have setup all the sharing settings correctly, pictures, music and the video folders appear just 'not' the video.

Also on the iPhone and iPad the icon looks different from the Windows 7 Media Centre icon, not sure if this is important or just cosmetic.

Should i just instal a third party server? I would really welcome any input you could offer!

Kind regards,

George

Just stopped working, have made no changes to any settings on Windows 8 or AirPlayer iOS.

Can anyone recommend a third party Media Server, I tried XBMC but my selected shared folder was not available.

Thanks in advance,

George Wood
