no folders in iomega home media network cloud edition

Postby iwooky » Wed Apr 11, 2012 6:21 pm

hi guys!
i have some problems with the connection to my nas (iomega home media network cloud edition):
the nas is shown in the device list with its name and ip; when i open the device there are no folders.
but in my network i can open the orders (with mac and win).
do you know where the problem is?

Have you setup shared folders in your NAS's upnp function.

whew, i dont find especially this option to set ...
but otherwise i have a bluerayplayer in my network which has access to the nas and its shared folders and files.
is this the hint, that the access to the nas is enabled?

i created a new folder, enabled the options for "media server"; the app doesnt even find this one.

one thing is also strange: in the device list, there is shown the the nas with the right name and ip, but also an device which is callend "UnKnown Media Server"; this device is shown in grey, i cant open it and in the settings of the device there is not the /tmsdevicedescription.xml behind the ip.

any ideas?

Whether the bluerayplayer also based on the UPnP/DLNA protocol?

sometimes the server needs to do a scan or a reboot to show new added folders.
