How to Download/Stream from WINDOWS platform share folders

OPlayer plays almost any file formats in your iDevice, no need to spend several hours to convert your videos.

Any progress on fixing samba support under iOS 5.0? It doesn't seem to crash any more, but it still doesn't work. I just see an empty table view. For a test, I tried a garbage password and got the same result: empty list, no error. It's like it doesn't even try to connect.

By the way, ftp does still work.

I have tried connecting to my Linux-based NAS, my Windows 7 PC, and my Lion macbook. Used to work in OPlayer under iOS 4.3. Other iPad apps (like FileBrowser) can still connect to my samba shares. Only OPlayer is broken, both the HD version for iPad and OPlayer for iPhone.

Sorry, other systems DO have issues. Samba totally broken for Linux, for example.

Hello again,

I think I have an idea as to why samba doesn't work in OPlayer: the port number. OPlayer only supports port 139, but other apps (the ones that work) use port 445. Can you allow the user to change the port number in OPlayer? This might fix the problem with your app.

Any idea if you'll allow users to change the samba port number in the next version?

The last update didn't fix this issue. Trying to connect with Oplayer to a Win7 SMB Share. No luck, empty table view.

Port 139 is maximum deprecated. In another post you stated, that Oplayer handles 139 AND 445 too. If so, showing 139 in the config menu is at least disturbing. Nonetheless, I can't connect to my share and that was one of the reasons for buying Oplayer.

Do you know when this bug will be fixed?

Thx
