OPlayer Playlists in iPhone 5 - Search or Sticky Post?

Postby 3549 » Thu Jan 28, 2016 9:13 pm

We just started using OPlayer on iPhone 5 and it is very good. So far the only drawback is instructions on playlists. Would it be possible to either enable search for the terms "iPhone" and "playlist" or place a sticky post on how to create and modify playlists on the iPhone 5? Both regular search and advanced search disallows these terms because they are too common. The forum does have posts on how to create and edit playlists, but you have to scroll through the screens manually. The forum would work better than a user guide or manual if search were enabled for common terms.

If anyone else is trying to create and edit playlists from a iTunes folder structure on OPlayer (Music/Author/Album/File1..File2..File3..) this works on an iPhone 5:

1. First press the playlist icon at the bottom of the screen. Press the "+" button on the top left of the screen. Give the playlist a name and press the "Save" button on the top right of the screen.

2. Then press the File icon at the bottom of the screen. Press "My Documents" then the author then the subfolder of the album you wish to add to the playlist you just created.
(example folder tree: My Documents/Freiburg Baroque Orchestra/Brandenberg Concertos/).

3. Here is the time saver: when you have the folder with your files on the screen, press "Edit" on the top right.

4. Now look at the bottom right. Press the round circle at the bottom right of the screen. This selects all the files in that folder.
(or you can select files individually by pressing the little grey circle next to each file name).

5. You will see that the files you are going to add have a check mark in the grey circle next to the right of the file name.

6. Now look at the top left of the screen. Press the icon there with a "+" and three lines.

7. Your playlists will appear on the screen. Choose the playlist to which you wish to add the files.

8. The next screen will show the files you are going to add. Press the "Done" button at the top right of the screen.

You should go back to the playlist screen and check to see if it added the correct files. If not, delete and repeat the process.

This is probably already covered somewhere on the forum. But you can't search for "playlist" and "iPhone".
